Cedar Chase now has 5 EV chargers in the main car-park. Every marked space is within reach of one of the chargers. They are 22kW AC chargers with Type-2 sockets so almost every car on the market can use them (though most will only charge at 11kW and plug-in hybrids may only take 3kW).

The chargers are for Cedar Chase residents. They are not a public service, so you need to register an account to use them. Costs are very similar to domestic tariffs, and tend to change every 6 months. This is the cost from 31st October 2026:

TimeCost
00:30-05:3012p/kWh
All other times44p/kWh

There is a subscription option that reduces the costs slightly.

Full details on how to register an account and charge your car are in the EV Charging at Cedar Chase instruction sheet.

For those interested in the technical details and the project, here is the detailed proposal that was put to the General Meeting.
