We see a wide range of birds around Cedar Chase. Some keep to the open ground or the woodlands, but many are seen in back gardens as well. Here are a few visitors attracted by sunflower kernels in January (photos by Andrew Findlay):

- Grey heron that takes the frogs from the pond in spring
- A pair of Mandarins that like to come to the pond every spring. I’m hoping they will be back again this year.
