The Cedar Chase spit is used for our own Ox Roasts and also for the Taplow Village Green Parties. It was built in the 1980s, apparently in the Mech Eng labs at Imperial College, and has been updated as we gained more experience with cooking large bits of meat. The largest joint we have cooked so far was a 65kg beef top-and-rump. On several occasions we have cooked two lambs at once.
